Here at Olive & Bud, one of our staple missions is to create quality babywear that actually lasts. As new mums ourselves, we have witnessed how quickly our own little ones grow out of the typical retail size gradients. Not only is this upsettingly wasteful, it is also expensive. A piece of clothing may initially appear cheaper on the high street, but when your little one only gets a handful of wears out of it the value for money doesn’t add up. With Olive & Bud garments, we have intentionally graded the sizing to allow for healthy grow room, suited to a more ‘oversized’ fit (much like how we like to dress & style ourselves)!
Please remember that a size guide is just a recommendation. It is impossible to achieve a one-size-fits-all approach to babywear since two babies of the same age can vary drastically in height and size. If your baby is on the bigger size, then buying to size will likely give a snug fit typical of the usual retail sizes. If your baby is on the smaller end of the scale, then we definitely recommend to size down. If your baby is an average size for his/her age, then buying to size will give an oversized fit and sizing down will give a snug fit.
